While I do not want my lifestyle change to be about the numbers on a scale, I feel it is important to check in on my progress from time to time. Since my aging scale has been
struggling to turn on, I decided that it was time to replace it. When I got on the new scale, it weighed me in at 3 lbs heavier than my old scale. What kind of sorcery is this?! I was ready to hurl it out the window take it back to the store and get a refund. Instead, I will suck it up and accept that my dearly departed, old scale was lying to me.
Today was day 9 at the gym and as I started up the treadmill, I realized that I am still sore from my time on the elliptical yesterday. I pushed through 30 minutes on the treadmill and then made my way to the Total Body Enhancement machine. If you haven’t been following along, this is a machine uses red light therapy to promote weight loss and tones your body by vibrating it ….imagine a jack hammer, now imagine you are standing on the jack hammer, I am certain that would be a close comparison. Strangely enough, this machine energizes me and improves my mood, probably because it shakes the hell right out of you!
Word of the Day: Hip Flexor – this is an upper thigh/hip muscle that may hurt if you have sat on your behind too many years and then suddenly try to get fit.

This evening I broke out the Instant Pot and whipped up
be “leg day”. If you aren’t familiar with the term “leg day”, it is the day at the gym you spend your time working on your legs. This may also be known as purgatory. By the time I walked out of the gym I had found Jesus and was praying for healing.
